The people of North Dakota, just like people in other parts of the world, work together to organize their homes, neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and other infrastructure into systems that make sense for them, makes their life better, and solves common problems. What our communities look like often changes over time as the local population grows larger or smaller, and as transportation, technology, and other resources also change. One challenge growing communities face is when to preserve or tear down old buildings, when to build new buildings, and where to put buildings and other infrastructure.
