Summary: Two men in robes, turbans and riding boots pose for this photograph. One man is seated, the other standing. One of the Touareg natives holds a long whip, and the standing man grips a long spear. Cloth wraps their faces, rendering identification challenging. Photograph was taken in the desert area near El Ouatia, in North Africa. These men belong to the tribe which killed the Marquis de Mores, on June 9, 1896.
