Summary: Members of a Civilian Conservation Corps team work restoring the main house building at the Chateau de Mores, Medora (N.D.). Windows have been boarded up, and the porch partially dismantled. Piles of construction excavation dirt sit beside the porch. Trucks and men are on the site. Renovation was undertaken between 1937 and 1941.||The Marquis de Mores arrived in North Dakota in 1883 and he built this house as a summer residence for his family. They spent summers here until 1886. The house was deeded to the State Historical Society of North Dakota by Louis, Duke de Vallombrosa in 1936.
