Junior Historians: Homes of North Dakota

Explore many types of homes people lived in within this region and discover how they were built to fit the climate and their unique needs. Design and build your own small home using popsicle sticks.

School-age children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to the free interactive learning series “Junior Historians” at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. Children and their accompanying adult(s) will gather at the west entrance information desk.

The series helps instill a passion for North Dakota’s history and culture in children through 30-minute programs featuring stories, discussions, and hands-on learning experiences.
