"Hamlet" Performance by Capitol Shakespeare

Capitol Shakespeare’s production of “Hamlet” will be performed July 17-21 at 6:30 p.m. nightly at the outdoor Prairie Amphitheater on the south lawn of the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. The performances are free and open to the public.

Guest director John Clemo brings one of William Shakespeare's most powerful and influential plays to life. Follow the grieving Hamlet as he seeks to avenge his father’s death and plummets the kingdom into madness.

Capitol Shakespeare Young Bards, featuring students ages 12-18, will provide a preshow of comedic monologues. The program seeks to train young actors in methods of expression and interpretation of classical text.

Limited concessions will be available. Sunglasses, lawn chairs, and blankets are encouraged. Parking is available at both the ND Heritage Center & State Museum and the former North Dakota Department of Water Resources building.
