Summary: Curt Anderson, 68, Bismarck, died January 1, 2007 at a local hospital. Services were held Thursday, January 4 at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit with Rev. Ed Wehner officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Curt was born on February 4, 1938 in Bismarck, ND the son of George and Marybelle Doyle Anderson. He was raised on the family ranch, being the third generation on the Anderson Angus Ranch. He attended Gibbs Township grade school and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1956 then graduating from Bismarck Junior College in 1958. Curt married Jane Heier on July 3, 1961 in Bismarck at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Following their ollowing their marriage, they continued ranching on the family ranch ten miles northeast of Bismarck. Curt was a man of his word who treated others with courtesy and respect. He was a true western gentleman who understood the value of a handshake and standing up for what you believe. Curt was a board member of Capitol Electric and Capital Electric Charitable Trust where he worked very hard at Operation Roundup. He was also on the FHA Board of Directors, a 45 year member of the Eagles Club and a 39 year member of the ND Stockmen’s Association. He also served as a delegate for the ND Farmer’s Union Conventions. Curt is survived by his wife, Jane of Bismarck, ND; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie (Bob) Renner of Bismarck, ND; his sons, Jim (Kelly) Anderson of Billings, MT and Justin (Terri) Anderson of Bismarck, ND; his brothers, Kevin (Kathy) Anderson and Joel (Karen) Anderson all of Bismarck, ND; his sister, Denise (Len) Prinz of Bismarck, ND; and his grandchildren, Shaun and Scott Anderson, Riley and Reese Anderson, Eric, Brayden, Jazlyn, Aubree and Trinidee Renner. Curt was preceded in death by his parents.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
