Collection Summary: The collection consists of the papers of Will family members, including Oscar Henry and Elvira Isabel "Belle" (Bird) Will, George Francis Will, Katherine (Sterrett) Will, Vera (Kangas) Will, Mabel (Will) Lumry, Margaret (Will) Exton, George Francis Will Jr., Elvira Susanna (Will) Arman, Oscar Henry Will II, and other descendants and relatives. Includes correspondence, organizational records, research files, manuscripts, business records of the Oscar H. Will Seed Company, family papers, publications, newspaper clippings, maps, drawings, photographs, and moving image.
The primary creator of the collection was George F. Will Sr., and the bulk of the papers reflect Will's interest in North Dakota archaeology, dendrology, ethnobotany, the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara people, and the history of Bismarck (N.D.) and the Northern Plains. These interests are reflected in extensive correspondence, manuscripts, publications and research files.
The collection also includes research and manuscripts by Josephine Waggoner and Melvin Gilmore, among many others.

Collection Title: Frank Bennett Fiske

Collection Summary: Includes prints and negatives of portraits, agriculture, education, wildlife, hunting, Frank Fiske studio portraits, and some views of South Dakota. Fiske’s Native American photographs include portraits, Indian gatherings and ceremonies, boarding schools, Indian houses and dwellings, and Native American agriculture. Fiske’s documentation of daily life on the reservation includes such shots as Sioux customers waiting for a Fort Yates trading store to open; a Sioux dance in the streets of Fort Yates; a plow issue before the agency boarding school; an encampment of tipis, including those traditionally painted; and three Indian men being taxied off the reservation to join the army in WWI.

Collection Summary: Odou was a veterinarian in Hettinger (N.D.). His speed graflex took pictures of the Hettinger area from 1917 to the early 1930s. Collection includes images of animals, the Hettinger State Experiment station, residences and businesses, parades, swimming, Odou family activities, and community events. Photographs were primarily taken in the Hettinger (N.D.) area but also include McLaughlin (S.D.), Daviston (S.D.), and Lodgepole (S.D.).
