Summary: Mary Anderson, 83, Ypsilanti, ND, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND. Funeral services were held Monday, March 19, 2007 at The Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, ND with Father Al Bitz officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND. Mary Lorraine Altringer was born November 27, 1923 in Kensal, ND, the daughter of Peter and Lillian (Fredrickson) Altringer. She attended and graduated from Dover School near Wimbledon, ND. In January on 1946, she married Ora Anderson and they settled on a farm in Ypsilanti, ND. Ora died on April 19, 1996. Mary was a member of The Basilica of St. James andSt. James Tabernacle Society. She enjoyed workingat the church, sewing, baking and gardening. Survivors include 4 children: Joann (Alvin) Wagner,Sykeston, ND; Dorothy (Terry) Connelly, Longview, TX; Donald (Martha) Anderson, Longview, TX; Kenneth (Judy) Anderson, Ypsilanti, ND; 15 grandchildren; 21 great- Grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Theresa (Melvin) Stickel,Fargo, ND; Catherine Wood, Sacramento, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Clifford, George and Lyle, and a sister Virginia.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
