Summary: Lois Elaine Andrusak, 77, Bismarck, passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2009, while a resident at the Edgewood Vista Memory Care Home after a lengthy illness. Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Sunne Lutheran Church, Wilton, with the Rev. Paul Schauer officiating. Burial will be in Sunne Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Wilton, at a later date. Lois was born Aug. 12, 1932, in Bismarck, to Bert and Lillian (Nord) Hedstrom. She grew up in Wilton and graduated from Wilton High School. In 1951, she married Marlin Bucholz. They lived in the Regan and Wilton areas until his death. In November 1957, she married her husband of 50 years, George Andrusak in Washburn. Over the years, they made their home in Wilton, Washburn and Bismarck. Lois enjoyed spending time tending to her flower garden. She was a wonderful cook and talented in the crafts of needlepoint and knitting, she loved creating her works for her children and grandchildren. Lois also enjoyed the years she worked at the McLean County Auditor's Office and N.D. Guaranty Title Company. Lois is survived by her children: two sons, Greg (Darcy) Bucholz, Rockford, Ill., and Rick (Julie) Bucholz, Bismarck, and one daughter, Sheila Grube, Valley Head, Ala.; two sisters, Ellen Renner and Shirley Jennings Richter, both of Bismarck; two brothers, Dennis Hedstrom, Garrison, and Bruce Hedstrom, Wilton; five grandchildren, Lance, Scott, Lisa, Ryan and Corey; and one great-grandchild, Noah. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Andrusak and Marlin Bucholz; her parents, Bert and Lillian; two brothers, Boyd and Alton Hedstrom; and one sister, Carol Driver.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
