Summary: Allen V. Arnts, 73, Bismarck, died Jan. 22, 2004, at his home. Memorial services were held Monday, January 26th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Sathre officiating. Burial was in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Allen was born March 2, 1930, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, to Alfred and Doris (Craven) Arnts. He was reared in Burleigh County and attended Bismarck High School and Capitol Commercial College. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Allen was married to Mildred Persinger in 1951. He spent his life working in the home building industry and as a factory manager. In 1990, Allen married Alice Porter. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he was Scout Master in the 1960s, was a member of the Bismarck Elks Club, and he enjoyed the Men's Breakfast Club on Wednesday mornings. His favored hobby was wood carving, and every member of his family has a piece of his handiwork. Allen will be deeply missed by his family and friends and is survived by his wife, Alice; two daughters and sons-in-law, Miclielle and KC Clayson and Camille and Ray Eisenmann, all of Bismarck; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tim and Kathy Arnts, McLean, Va., and Doug Arnts, Nashville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Megan, Brandon and Andrew Clayson, Brianna, Jacob and Noah Eisenmann, and Kelly and Todd Arnts; three brothers, Kenneth (Joanne) Arnts, Valley Ford, Wash., Ralph (Tamara) Arnts, Thorton, Colo., and Larry Arnts, Bismark; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Allen in death were his parents; one brother; and one sister.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
