Regina Elnora Fraser was born in Antler on February 27, 1921, the daughter of Edgar Hugh and Margaret (Brix) Fraser. She graduated as valedictorian from Antler High School and because her mother died, she stayed home a year before attending St Andrew’s School of Nursing in Bottineau, ND. Her huge garden provided not only food and enjoyment, but early job training and job security as her children helped plant and weed rows that seemed endless. Harold and Jean moved to Westhope in 1983 where they were active at St. Andrew’s Church, the Westhope Senior Citizens and the Sioux Boosters. They moved to Edgewood Vista in January 2003. Harold died July 26, 2003. Jean enjoyed her years at Edgewood Vista and was active on the Resident Council. She was a lifelong learner taking advantage of many opportunities to expand her knowledge of her faith, cooking and community events. She found great joy in visiting, listening to and mentoring her children and grandchildren. She was a loyal Westhope Sioux fan and unreachable during the State B Basketball tournaments.
