Summary: Elsie L. Baisch, 82, Bismarck died March 17, 2007 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. Services were held Wednesday, March 21 at Peace Lutheran Church, Lincoln with Rev. C. Jack Eichhost officiating. Burial was in the ND Veteran’s Cemetery. Elsie was born October 31, 1924 at Dunn Center, ND, the daughter of Michael and Fanny Goodale. She graduated from Beach High School in 1942. Elsie married Ewald A. Baisch on December 26, 1946 in Glendive, MT. They made their home in Bismarck until 1973 when they moved to Lincoln. Elsie worked for 37 years for the Department of Crippled Childrens’ Services. The highlight of hercareer was being recognized as Outstanding Public Employee for 1986. Elsie is survived by her son, Douglas (Andrea) Baisch of Oxnard, CA; her daughters, Sharon Baisch (Larry Morris) of Lincoln, ND, Lynda Baisch (Duane Reynolds) of Phoenix, AZ and Paula Wood of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Shane Wood, Randi Baisch, Curtis Baisch, Tyler Baisch and Lisa Gillispie; her great-grandchildren, Shelby Wood, Taryn Gillispie and Ethan Daniel Baisch; her brother, Michael Howard Goodale of Lankin, ND; her sisters, Joan Jacobsen, Shirley Jacobsen, Doris Kier and Margie Knight all of AZ; her sister-in-law, Delma Krause of Williston, ND and numerous nephews and nieces. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Ewald Baisch; her daughter, Mary Baisch; her grandson, Christy Baisch; her brothers, Harold Goodale, Gordon Goodale and Donald Goodale and her son-in-law, Gary Gordon Wood.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
