Summary: Sandra “Sandy” Adney, 65, Bismarck, ND, died December 2, 2017, at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. Private family services were held. Sandra Pledger was born March 25, 1952, to Otis and Donna (Kennedy) Pledger in Devils Lake, ND, where she grew up and received her education. Sandy loved to spend time with family and friends and her furry animals. She enjoyed working at the Baptist Home in Bismarck as a CNA for 20 years taking care of the elderly. She was adored by her many clients. Sandy enjoyed playing corn hole, darts, cards, and spending time with family and close friends. She spent many hours at Prairie Knights Casino with her family (where she worked for the casino, worked by donating her time and money). Sandy will be deeply missed by her son, David (Kim) Ozuna and granddaughter, Claudia, Dallas, TX; the love of her life, Dwight Erickson, of 22 years; sister, Ruth Stewart, Bismarck; brother, Larry Pledger, Minot, ND; and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and clients from the Baptist Home. Sandy was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her sister, Linda Bachmeier, Devils Lake, ND.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
