Summary: Greg Beyer, 61, Bottineau, ND, passed away November 17, 2017, at the Bottineau Good Samaritan Center. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated November 21, 2017, at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Bottineau. The celebrant at the Mass was the Reverend Father Michael Hickin. Cheryl Guss was the pianist. Casket bearers were Greg’s nieces and nephews Jon, Adam, Justin, Sarah, and Andrea Beyer. Honorary casket bearers were Elle and Mila Beyer. Burial was in the Oak Creek Cemetery, Bottineau. Greg Beyer, son of Trevor and Viola (Gourneau) Beyer, was born April 18, 1956, in Bottineau. He graduated from Bottineau High School in 1974. He then attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. He worked for a time at Cenex of Bottineau before starting at Pride Dairy in 1975. Later he owned and operated his own milk trucking business until 2011. He continued to work at Pride Dairy until 2017. Greg was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Bottineau. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, spending time at the family farm working on his many tractors, and tinkering on small projects. He also enjoyed his snowmobile, four-wheeler, and motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with his family that he loved dearly. Greg was a gentle giant with a huge heart. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Greg is survived by his brothers, Curt, Bismarck, ND, and Jeff (Betty), Bottineau; nephews, Jon (Molly) Beyer, Bottineau, Adam (Brooke) Beyer, Bottineau, and Justin (Tami) Beyer, Driscoll, ND; nieces, Sarah Beyer, Ashland, WI, and Andrea Beyer, Minot, ND; great-nieces, Elle and Mila Beyer, Bottineau. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Trevor and Viola Beyer.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
