Summary: Patrick Daniel Stewart, 48, Lincoln, ND, passed away surrounded by his family on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. Services were held April 6, 2018, at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck, ND, with Rev. Allen Wagner officiating. Patrick was born July 10, 1969, the third of four children to Leslie and Rose (Schneider) Stewart.  He attended Telfer School, Wachter Junior High, and graduated from Bismarck High School. He worked various jobs until he saved enough money to buy his own stock trailer and started Stewart’s Trucking.  He hauled livestock for many farmers and ranchers across North Dakota and South Dakota. Patrick expanded his business to include a gravel truck.  He was very proud of his business and worked very hard, long hours.  He would always call his Mom when he got home late at night so that she could fall asleep knowing he was safe at home. Family and farm were everything to Patrick and he loved them both with all his heart.  After a hard day of calving cows, swathing hay or fixing fence with his dad, brothers, and sister, he knew his mother was going to have a great big home-cooked meal waiting for them.  Patrick also knew how to have fun, whether it was riding horse in one of the pastures, a bareback horse in the arena, hunting deer, fishing, or just driving around, it always included a family member or friend, and, of course, one of his beloved dogs, Jake or Tanner. Working cattle was always hilarious at the Stewart’s. Their friends from town would come out to the farm and help wrestle the calves down for branding like in the old days. Patrick is the grandson of Pioneers so it was important to keep some of the old German traditions and Scottish heritage alive as well. He would play bass guitar when his family would get together and have jam sessions. He loved to cook and was always calling his Mom for advice on different recipes. Patrick Daniel is survived by his parents, Leslie and Rose Stewart; his sister, Kimberly; his brothers, James and Darin; his many uncles, aunts, cousins; and a long-time friend, Marty Beard. Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alexander and Vera (Gramling) Stewart and Henry and Kathryn (Stefanovitch) Schneider; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that are waiting for him with open arms in heaven.
