Summary: John Williams worked for a year at CKPR Radio in Fort William, Ontario before moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he worked for four years at CKY Radio. He moved to Minot in 1959 where he was a longtime employee at KCJB Radio and KXMC Television as a news reporter. He retired on March 1, 2000, and remained a resident of Minot. John was a member of All Saint’s Episcopal Church in Minot where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, vestry member, and past senior warden of the church. He was awarded the Pioneer of Broadcasting award in 1999. He described the high point of his broadcasting career as his Vietnam experience in 1966 where he interviewed local Minot area veterans. John enjoyed traveling, motorcycling, photography, and collecting music and movies.
