Summary: Zane Neil Marmon, 88, of Tioga ND, went home to join the Lord and the love of his life, Lola, on Oct 5, 2023 at the Tioga Medical Center in Tioga, ND. Zane was born on June 5, 1935 in Williston, ND to Morgan Randall (Dick) Marmon and Effie Myrtle MacTavish. He was raised in the Springbrook and Palermo area. He entered the Marines in 1954 and proudly served his country. On Aug 26, 1956 he married Lola Marie Moore at Faith Lutheran Church in Palermo, ND. They lived in Palermo, Stanley, and Tioga before moving to Auburn, WA, where he worked for Boeing. They moved back to ND where he worked as a police officer in Tioga and various oilfield jobs before retiring and working for the Danny Joyce family on their farm. Lola passed away in 1979. During his retirement years, he loved to spent time in the “Hollow” where he lived his dream of enjoying the wildlife and outdoors on a farm. He looked forward to each summer at the lake with family gatherings, Fishing the “Warriors on the water” with his son, Todd, and friend, Bobby. He held a special bond with his friends and companion, Louise, at his apartment where he has resided for the past 10 years. Time spent with his children, grandchildren and their spouses and great-grandchildren were treasured by all of us. Zane is survived by his children, Susan & Dale Weflen of Tioga ND, Nancy Marmon of Minot ND, Tracy & Duane Thelen of Kenmare ND, Todd & Toni Marmon of Tioga ND; grandchildren, Heather Weflen (Chris Millhouse), JoDean Weflen (TJ Halverson), Cody & Tanya Weflen, Jeff Holter (Lindsey Fleming), Ryan Holter, Jessica & Matt Pachel, Cole Marmon (Bailey Engesether); step grandchildren, Jeff Moe (Emily Horn), Mitchell & Missy Moe, Stephane & Heath West, Brandi & Luke West, Tennille & Jason Byrd; great-grandchildren; Melvin, Milana & Victoria, Xylis, Jaxson & Axle, Gage & Brickston, Lola, Scarlett & Halle; step great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jace, Jerol, Jaylynn, Jaeger, Jackson, Jarrett, Madisyn, Maci, Waylon, Tadyn, Gannon, Brylee, Arlee, Kasyn, Kaitlyn, Hans; siblings, Floyd (Jean) Marmon of Donalsonville, GA; sisters-in-law, Colleen Evenson of Fargo ND, Dorothy Wood of Mayville ND; brother-in-law; Ferdie Estovonne of San Diego CA; several nieces and nephews. Zane was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Gregory Zane; brothers, Elvin (Bud) Marmon, Vernon (Betty) Marmon, Donald (Marlene) Marmon and Gail Marmon; sisters, Irene Gallaher, Gladys Latham, Ramona (Elva) Larsen and Patricia (Patsy) Estovonne, June Bjerke.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
