Summary: Christine Ann White Owl passed away January 23, 2023. A wake was held on January 25, 2023, at the Water Chief Hall. A funeral service was held January 26, 2023 at the Water Chief Hall. Christine Ann White Owl (George) was born December 4, 1964, to Frank White Owl, Sr. and Nina Lucy Turner White Owl at Watford City Hospital. As a child Christine could be seen with Avis walking to Killdeer for refreshments. She had three children, Benner, Francine, and Leann, whom she loved and cherished. On June 30, 1997, she married the love of her life, the late Trinidad R. Gonzalez (Ace). In their time together they traveled and lived many places. Christine worked at the 4 Bears Casino as a maintenance supervisor, maintenance at the Mandaree Community Center, and helped in Grand Forks, ND, during the time of the flood. She loved to go fishing and exploring around the countryside and sometimes even raising hell. She loved swimming; every summer she would load up a car full of family to go spend time at the lake. Christine will always be remembered as a kindhearted crazy woman. Whenever someone was in need, she was always there to lend a hand. She loved and comforted many of her nieces and nephews that she took as her own. If anyone needed a place to stay Christine always had an open door. She loved to entertain children of all ages and often found some kind of mischief to get into. Many of her nephews/nieces have cherished memories of how she supported them throughout their lives. She always backed them if they were in trouble with their parents or anyone else. In her later years she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She raised four of them as her own and continued to do so up to the time of her passing. Christine loved/enjoyed having debates with her son, Benner, and loved spending time with her grandchildren as they shared many memories together. She was loving to each of them in her own special way. Christine was always so proud of them and all they did from rodeos, good grades, and sports. They loved to get her gifts, snacks, and pictures they made for her, cooked her special meals; she always lit up with a smile and a hug for each of them. She will be greatly missed. Christine is survived by her son, Benner White Owl (Ona Lee); grandchildren, Angelica Wolf, Aaron Wolf Jr., Anthony Wolf, Ariel Wolf, Pricillaz WO, Alliaz WO, James WO, Kaydyn Bolman and Elliona Bolman; sister, Rosie White Owl; brothers, Paul White Owl Sr., Frank White Owl Jr., Samuel White Owl, and Jassen White Owl Sr.; many nieces, nephews and grandbabies; and all her many extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank White Owl Sr. and Nina (Turner) White Owl; sisters, Pauline WO, Hazel Felix, Emma Finley, Gladys Black Hawk, Lana Bird Bear, Frances Swift Eagle, Connie White Body, Nancy Mingus, Theresa Blanco Bautista, and Marcia White Eagle; and husband, Trinidad R.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
