Summary: Our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Donna Lee Wood, slipped away peacefully April 10, 2021. A funeral service was held April 16, 2021, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck, ND. Donna Nellis was born September 12, 1931, to Vern and Alice Nellis in Waterloo, IA. She graduated high school in Waterloo and attended Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Donna married William Wood in 1951. They had three children, Teresa, Timothy, and Todd. She was active in PTA and Girl Scouts when they were young. She also volunteered in many art and music foundations in Bismarck and LaQuinta, CA. Her involvement at the Fort Lincoln foundation fundraising for furnishings of the house was very memorable and dear to her. The many activities she enjoyed were antiquing, reading, playing bridge and traveling. Her biggest enjoyment was shopping for and spending as much time as she could with her four grandsons. The last years of her life were highlighted with four special great-grandchildren. Donna is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Robert) Moreland; her son, Todd (Kathy) Wood; grandsons, Timothy (Jackie) Wood, Michael (Amy) Moreland, Devin (Mandie) Wood, and Matthew (Ashley) Moreland; and great-grandchildren, Tristin Wood, Trevin Wood, Mac Moreland; and Ella Wood. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty and Mary; and son, Timothy Wood.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
