Summary: Peter “Pete” Remboldt, 50, of Glen Ullin passed away July 29, 2024, at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND. A Celebration of Life was held August 2, 2024, at the Glen Ullin Public School gymnasium. Peter “Pete” Jacob Remboldt was born on May 24, 1974, in Jamestown, ND, to Dean and Terry (Krause) Remboldt. He grew up in Gackle, LaMoure, and Jamestown. At a young age he fell in love with sports and decided he wanted to go on and play football for Jamestown College. He graduated in 1996 with a teaching degree. His first teaching job was in Lakota, ND. A student of his, Jon Koski, and his classmates introduced him to Jennifer “Jen” Koski. On June 5, 1999, Peter married Jen. Together they raised their three children, Chase (23), Gunnar (20), Jayda (17). Pete loved supporting his kids and would travel all over North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota to watch them play the sports they loved. One of his greatest joys was announcing his sons’ baseball games at Goldmann Field. He was a dedicated sports dad who sat through every one of Jayda’s elementary volleyball matches. Pete was proud of all their accomplishments and loved being present in their daily school lives. Pete had many passions in life. He definitely had a soft spot for his students, always making them a priority. He taught high school math in Lakota and Gackle before he and Jen moved to Benson, MN, where he taught math for 11 years. In 2012 Pete and his family moved to Glen Ullin where he became the high school principal and then became superintendent in 2021. While teaching, he also could be found coaching multiple sports. Pete loved the outdoors. If you couldn’t find him in a classroom or coaching on the sidelines, you would find him out hunting and fishing with family and friends. Pete is survived by his wife, Jennifer, of Glen Ullin; children, Chase Remboldt and fiancé Chelsey Duppong, of Valley City, ND, Gunnar Remboldt, of Fargo, ND, and Jayda Remboldt, of Glen Ullin; father-in-law, Lyle Koski; brothers-in-law, Matt Koski, Jon and Lana Koski; sister-in-law, Kara Koski; nephews, Matthew, Erik, Logan and Charlie Koski; great-niece, Paisley Jo; aunts, Karen Krause and Donna Remboldt; uncle, Rod and Gwen Krause; and numerous cousins.
