Summary: Kevin Buehner, 66, of Dunn Center, ND, passed away September 27, 2024, at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND. A funeral service was held October 3, 2024, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, ND. Burial was at Peace Lutheran Cemetery north of Dunn Center. Kevin Buehner was born on May 30, 1958, in Dickinson, to Gene and Marlene (Unterseher) Buehner. He grew up on the ranch north of Dunn Center and graduated from Halliday High School in 1976. Kevin married Cheryl Tabor on February 4, 1983, in Killdeer, ND. The couple had many adventures over the course of their 41-year marriage. They had three boys together, Cody, Austin, and Amos. Kevin was a gifted horseman and throughout his life, he found companionship with all of his horses, as well as his dogs. He can be described as many things, including honest, fair, proud, and strong-willed. Kevin was a man that wore many hats, and he wore all of them well. Most recently, he enjoyed running his dozer and driving his cars, going for drives several times a day. He was also physically strong and tough as nails, especially while fighting a long and hard battle with his health. Even throughout his struggles, he remained a very spiritual man. Kevin’s greatest joy in life was his family. He always kept up with what they were doing and was proud of them and all of their accomplishments. They will miss him dearly. Kevin is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl; sons, Cody (Jessica) Buehner, Austin (Emiley) Buehner, and Amos (Nicole) Buehner; 11 grandchildren, Eliza, Woodrow, Porter, Adele, Beau, Gracie, Nora, Jake, Annabelle, Natalie, and Lydia; mother, Marlene; and his driving companion, Buddy (dog). He was preceded in death by his father, Gene; and his dog, Ike.
