Summary: Earl Kinnischtzke, 91 of Glen Ullin, ND, passed away November 12, 2024, at Augusta Health in Bismarck, ND. A funeral service was held November 19, 2024, at St. Johns Church in Hebron with Pastor Matthew Myers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Earl Victor was born July 15, 1933, in Glen Ullin, the son of Paul and Frieda (Loritz) Kinnischtzke. Growing up he attended country school, showed livestock in the 4-H club, and enjoyed doing his morning and evening chores. Earl was proud of obtaining his GED later in life. Earl enlisted in the Army Reserve in 1953 for six years, after which he moved north of Glen Ullin where together they built their dairy farm. Earl and Freda (Miller) were blessed with three children, Lonnie, Leisha and Twyla. Earl proudly raised milk cows and he always said the secret to a successful dairy farm was knowing how to feed and take care of them. He was known by his CB handle as “Speedy” and everyone knew why. After retiring from farming and moving to town, Earl took a daily drive to his childhood farm to check crops. Earl enjoyed raising a big garden and giving it all away to those in his community. He made sure everyone had plenty of tomatoes and apples. He was also a professional painter within the community, and a CNA and resident driver for Marian Manor for many years. He was proud of what seemed like “a million miles” he drove accident free. The residents appreciated the many field trips he took them on. Earl served as field staff at Farmers Union, Cenex Oil board member and was known as one of their best customers. He was a tour guide on many bus trips, was a member of St. John’s and served on the church council. Earl was a Lions member, on the bowling league, and very active at the Weigh Station. He always dedicated himself to help others. As his health was failing, Earl was blessed with his neighbors, Dale and Alvin, who were always there to lend a helping hand. Earl’s favorite pastime was spending time with his grandkids and making his rounds uptown visiting his friends at local businesses. Earl is survived by his, daughters, Leisha Walth, of Bismarck, and Twyla (Eddy) Barth, of Glen Ullin; granddaughter, Klarisa (Kent) Glasser and children, Alia and Arie; granddaughter, Shalayna (Matt) Phelps and children, Eliza, Vivian and Harlan; sister, Sharon (Rod) Peterson; brother, Richard (Irma); sister-in-law, Jane Kinnischtzke; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frieda; son, Lonnie; son-in-law, Curtis Walth; brothers, Roger and Norbert (Marianne) Kinnischtzke; nephew, Mitch Kinnischtzke.
