Summary: Chantal Crandell passed away October 28, 2024, at her home in Dickinson, ND. A time of remembrance was held December 9, 2024, at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Chantal D. Crandell was born February 24, 1965 in France. She moved with her family to the United States when she was six. Chantal grew up in Grand Junction, CO, graduating from high school. She was blessed with two daughters, Chavon and Makayla. In May of 2003, Chantal married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Crandell. After their storybook wedding, the couple made their home in Rangely, CO. Life’s adventure brought them to Dickinson, ND, in 2015, where they lived happily ever after. Chantal worked in the food service at Dickinson High School as their head cook. Chantal cherished her time with her daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed working in the yard and always kept a neat house. Chantal was fond of her wildlife photography and hiking trips to Hanging Lake in Colorado. She is survived by her husband Richard, Dickinson; daughters, Chavon Hoisington, Coos Bay, OR, and Makayla Darnell, Grand Junction, CO; mother, Nichole Miller, Kingman, AZ; brother, Ron Carson, Rangely, CO; four grandchildren, with a fifth on the way. She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Miller.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
