Summary: Donna May Miller, 82, of Tioga, ND, passed away November 28, 2024, at the Tioga Medical Long Term Care Center. A Celebration of Life service was held December 10, 2024, at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Powers Lake, ND. Donna was born July 25, 1942, in Glenwood, MN, to Donald and Anice (Clikeman) Bingham. Donna married the love of her life, William Miller on July 3, 1970, at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Powers Lake. They spent 25 wonderful wedded years together, raising their three children in Powers Lake until his passing in 1995. All three of their children went on to serve in the US Air Force and US Navy. Throughout their years of service Donna would get phone calls, cards and letters from locations around the world. She patiently waited for phone calls that sometimes came late at night and into early hours of the morning. In 2003 and in 2011 Bonnie, Louann and Kevin were all serving overseas at different locations but would manage to do four-way calls with Donna on Mother's Day and her birthday. Donna was able to travel to Montana, Washington, Texas and Louisiana to see her kids and grandchildren. The walls and shelves in her home contained many trinkets and treasures from her kids’ military travels and assignments throughout the Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. Donna was a devoted member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Powers Lake. Donna enjoyed serving her community through her work at the Powers Lake Senior Center where she made meals and delivered them to members of the community and being an active volunteer with the American Legion Auxiliary. She also worked as a nurse's aide and housekeeper at the Stanley and Kenmare nursing homes. She loved to walk and visit with friends and family. She baked and did embroidery and needlepoint when she had the time. She is survived by her son, Kevin Miller; daughters, Bonnie Miller and LouAnn Campbell (Miller); sister, Audrey Benner (Bingham); and her grandchildren, Jacob Miller and Ryan Campbell. Donna was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, William; brothers, Donald LeRoy Bingham, William (Billy) Bingham and Grant Bingham; sisters, June Lockwood, AnnaBelle Brekke and Alice Skalikcy.
