A memorial service was held January 4, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Tioga, ND. Burial was in United Cemetery, Tioga. June Christofferson was born on February 9, 1960, to Neil and Iona (Gleason) Christofferson in McVille, ND. The family resided in Tolna, ND, until 1966, when they moved to Tioga. She was baptized in Tolna and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Tioga. She attended all 12 years of school in Tioga, and all these years later she still cherished her school friends. After high school she worked at Cenex, putting up grain bins. Later, she was the first girl hired by a pipeline company. In 1980 she married Alan Biwer. To this union two girls were born, Shanna Marie and Kelly Dawn. They lived in Tioga and later in 1985 moved to McGregor, ND. Various jobs that June did after the girls were older were working at Al’s Auto shop, the Rig Lounge and D.J.’s. June enjoyed camping, chili cook-offs and demolition derbies with her special friend and companion, Rory Syverson. Rory had to help her make her last apple pie this fall and she was thankful! June was very creative and did many types of crafts. She also made her own urn. It is a gourd that she etched a design on and decorated with a “June Bug”. The topper is a crow – thank you Shawn!! Many people were recipients of her crafts. June is survived by her daughters, Shanna (Jason) Christianson and Kelly (Lane) Johnson; grandchildren, Kendall and Maddie Christianson, and Jayda, Isaac and Brantley Johnson; mother, Iona Christofferson; sister, Candice (Bob) Wenger; brother, Colin (Susan) Christofferson; companion, Rory Syverson and his sons, Riley and Kyle; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and fur baby, Bella.
