Summary: Alma Frieda Lalim, 89, of Tioga, ND, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 16, 2025, at the Trinity Health Hospital in Minot, ND. Funeral services were held January 23, 2025, at the Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel in Tioga. Burial was in the Lindahl Cemetery in rural McGregor, ND. Alma was born on August 1, 1935, to Fred and Inga Pierson in Lindahl Township north of Tioga. She was raised in the family home northwest of Tioga with one brother and six sisters. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Olaf Church near Tioga. On February 28, 1953, she married Carl Lalim. They established their home on the Lalim farmstead north of Tioga. Together they raised four children, David, Debbie, Doug and Darlene. Alma was an excellent cook and always made sure everyone was well fed. Even when you were full, she insisted that you needed to eat more. Alma “LOVED” taking pictures. She always had her camera in hand when family was around. Her favorite saying was “Oh, just one more picture!” Alma was a wonderful dancer and enjoyed putting on her square-dancing dress and joining her friends on the dance floor. Alma’s faith was always very important to her, attending church, having communion and reading her devotions. Her favorite book was the bible. Alma also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, playing cards and doing word search puzzles. But Alma’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. Her face would always light up with the biggest smile when she was with her family, especially her grandchildren; they were the light of her life. She always showered her family with lots of love and many, many hugs. Her Love and Hugs will be dearly missed. Alma is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Barry) Suydam, of Minot, ND; son, Doug (Penny) Lalim, of Williston, ND; daughter, Darlene Pullen, of Minot, ND; and daughter-in-law, Regina (Mike) Lalim-Olson, of Tioga, ND.
