Summary: Deloras Jensen-Stratton, Bottineau, North Dakota, formerly of Westhope, North Dakota, passed away July 3, 2016 at a Bottineau nursing home. Funeral services were held July 6, 2016, at the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Bottineau. Officiating at the service was the Reverend Father Michael Hickin. Wayne Martian was the community leader and Linda Shelver was the pianist. Casket bearers were Gary Sivertson, Curt Getzlaff, Warren Jensen, Larry Jensen, Roger Knutson and Jeff Jensen. Burial was at the Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau. Deloras Jensen-Stratton, a daughter of Louis and Alice (Beckman) Hahn, was born on February, 18, 1931 at Bottineau. She grew up in the Turtle Mountains north of Bottineau and attended Hilton School #3. As a young lady, she worked at Saunders Café in Bottineau. On November 10, 1953, she married Melfred Jensen at Bottineau. They made their home on a farm east of Bottineau. Deloras worked at the Good Samaritan Center in Bottineau. Melfred passed away on April 23, 1983. Deloras retired from the Good Samaritan Center in 1993. On March 12, 1993 she married Don Stratton in Hawaii. They made their home at Westhope. Don passed away on March 27, 2008 and Deloras moved back to Bottineau. She moved into the Bottineau Good Samaritan Center on December 28, 2015. She enjoyed bird watching, baking, gardening, knitting and playing cards. She is survived her son, Keith Jensen and his wife, Bev of Bottineau; granddaughters, Karissa and Kelsey Jensen of Bottineau; grandson, Brandon Jensen of Minot; great-grandson, Logan Jensen of Grand Forks; sisters, Arlene Knutson of Bottineau and Jeanette (Alvin) Moe of Bottineau; brothers, Curtis Hahn of Bottineau and Lyle (Carol) Hahn of Salt Lake City, UT. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry; sister, Marian Sivertson and brother, Gordon Hahn.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
