Summary: Jerome Eli, 83, of Glenfield, ND, passed away on May 9, 2025, at Regions Hospital Burn Center in Saint Paul, MN, surrounded by his loving family. His funeral service was held at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington, ND. Burial was at the Glenfield Cemetery. Jerome Dennis Eli was born on April 20, 1942, in Foster County to Hassen Jr. and Ida (Hadey) Eli. He grew up in rural Glenfield, where he developed a love for farming, ranching, and the rural way of life. On April 28, 1962, Jerome married Sandra Larson at Juanita Methodist Church in Juanita, ND. They shared 63 years of marriage, and together they were blessed with three sons, Daren, Adam, and Robert, and three daughters, Tamie, Holly, and Angie. Jerome was a proud and loving dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He deeply loved his children, 19 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, and spent many cherished moments with his family and friends. He was a member of the Glenfield Lutheran Church, where he was confirmed as a child. Friends and family will always remember Jerome for his big smile, witty jokes, hugs, and sense of humor. He had a unique ability to be fun-loving and was always willing to share a laugh. He was known for his kind, big heart, and commitment to his community and family. Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; daughters, Tamie (Kerry) Thurn, Holly Dockter, and Angie (Kevin) Schafer; sons, Daren (Valerie) Eli, and Adam Eli; brothers, Roger Eli, Kenny Eli, Philip Eli, and David Eli; sisters, Frani Priebe, Diane Dahl, and Susan Kurtz; many dear friends and family members; and Sadie his dog. Jerome was preceded in death by his son, Robert; great-grandson, Reed Nelson; parents, Hassen and Ida; brothers, Arnold, Rodney, and Larry; sister-in-law, Pat Eli; brother-in-law, Kirby Dahl; and nephew, Derrick Eli.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
