In keeping with Howard's wishes, a private service was held for his children and grandchildren. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Williston. Howard Arnold Hendrickson was born to Arnold and Clara (Haug) Hendrickson on May 25, 1935, in Plentywood, MT. He was raised on the family farm near Dagmar, MT, and educated at View Hill School. On March 17, 1957, he married Pearl Cleveland. They opened Howard's Westland in Minot, ND, until the '69 Flood when the family moved back to Williston. Howard made time to load all the kids into the family station wagon and take a vacation to Glacier Park before the big move. Over his career, Howard drove truck for various companies from Sweetheart Bakery to Westland Oil, Power Fuels, Cenex and Herman Oil. Howard had a love for cars and could tell you the make and model of every vehicle he ever owned. Howard had a lifetime membership in the Moose and always enjoyed visiting with family and friends and dancing with Pearl. He continued to occasionally frequent the Moose well into his 80's to enjoy burger night and a few O'Doul's. Howard and Pearl loved spending time at their cabin at Blacktail Dam and fishing from their boat. They later sold the cabin and became avid campers at various parks. Howard spent many summers enjoying his role as the campground host and caretaker at Beaver Bay Campground. He spent many hours walking his dog Cuddles. Howard enjoyed going for a drive, eating at McDonald's, and visiting with just about anyone! He loved to eat ice cream and have a Hershey bar or two, or three... Howard is survived by his seven children, Ron (Wendy), Vern (Deb), Cal, Robert (Irene), Dean (Rhonda), Sandra, Darin (Holly) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Orville and Tony (Dory); sisters, Dorothy (David) Blomberg, Sylvia (Gary Moran) Haven, Pearl (Ernie) Haven and Judy (Bob) Bergeron.
