Summary: Bradford Duane Bingeman, 75, passed away peacefully May 10, 2025, surrounded by family members. His memorial service was held on May 17, 2025, at the Ray Lutheran Church in Ray, ND, with Pastor Mary Dickman-Parrish officiating. Brad was born on January 15, 1950, in Williston, ND, to his mother, Opal Ruby Knutson Bingeman, and father, Barney Harris Bingeman. He attended school in Epping, ND. He then worked for area farmers and also did custom harvesting in Smith Center, KS. He returned to North Dakota from Kansas in 1975. He married Ardith Rae Flaten on July 28, 1978. Brad and Ardy were married for 46 years. Together, they raised three boys: Justin, Brent, and Catlin. Brad worked for Halliburton Services for 21 years. In March 1999, he started his own trucking business which he was so proud of. After being on the road and away from his family for six years, he received an opportunity from Weatherford Completions and started working for them in October of 2005 selling and delivering float equipment and other oil field services. He was eventually promoted to District Manager. Brad retired from Weatherford in December of 2015. When Brad and Ardy resided in Ray, he was a member of Ray Lutheran Church and served on the church board. When not working, he enjoyed spending time camping and being at the river (Lake Sakakawea). After the boys graduated high school and moved on, Brad and Ardy moved in June of 2012 to their new home near Lewis and Clark State Park (Long Creek). He enjoyed his time at Long Creek whether ice fishing or being on the water in his boat or pontoon. Walleye was Brad’s FAVORITE. Brad and Ardy also loved to winter in Arizona from January 2018-2022. While in Arizona, Brad and Ardy enjoyed the time there with family members and wonderful new friends. The most difficult part of being away was missing the grandkids back in ND! Brad loved being a grandpa and felt such pride in each grandchild. Brad always had a very humorous and caring nature and made us all laugh often with his selfless personality. Brad was extremely proud of his sons and his strong work ethic was instilled in them. Brad is survived by his wife, Ardy; three sons, Justin (Elizabeth), Cross Plains, WI, Brent (Jen), Ray, ND, Catlin (Jacey), Burlington, ND; five grandchildren, Sheyenne and Sutton Rae Bingeman, Brody, Joslyn, and Boston Bingeman; sister, Chris Brose; brothers, Ron (Debbie), Bruce (Melanie), and Jay (Wanda); sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, Tammy (Jerry) Ranum; and sisters-in-law, Lori Flaten and Terrie Jo Bingeman. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Barney and Opal Bingeman; brother, Gayle Bingeman; mother and father-in-law, Ron and Lois Flaten; brother-in-law, Jerry Brose; nephew, Dustin Brose; and brother-in-law, Gene “Beaner” Flaten.
