Summary: Celysce Stiffarm of New Town, ND, was 23 years young and started her journey to the Big Sands on July 29, 2025. Celysce’s funeral service was held August 4, 2025, at the Water Chief Hall in Mandaree, ND. Celysce Lenore Stiffarm “Morning Star” was born August 14, 2001, in Bismarck, ND, to Roni Stiffarm. Celysce (Cee Cee) “Loved Life” attended grade school at Mission School in Hays, MT. She also attended Mandaree Public School from junior high to high school. She also in her adult years attended Sippi Trade School in Albuquerque, NM, in 2020. Cee Cee leaves behind her two amazing boys, Etienne (4) and Tayen (11mos.) She loved her boys, they were her biggest and most cherished accomplishment. Her love for them was undeniable. She was very family oriented. She also loved helping people out of the goodness of her heart. Her smile and sense of humor could light up every room she entered. Her laugh was very contagious, you would know it was her laugh without even seeing her. She made friends very easily and made strong connections with her nieces and nephews. They all loved her very much. Cee Cee had a great respect for her traditional ways taught to her by her Grandmother Mavis Young Bear and would often sit with her grandpa Fudd and braid sweetgrass with him telling stories and laughing with him. She loved her grandparents very much and was always there to help wherever she could. Cee Cee will be missed by her three brothers Terril (JoeBoy), Taryn (Tarnins) and Juakeen (Jr) they were always there for her and her boys and would do anything for them at the drop of a hat. Cee Cee also attended Healing Hearts lodge where she made new friends that became family. She established close connections with numerous people and was a big help for them from 2023 – 2025. Celysce loved spending time with her family and friends. She had such a fun loving spirit. She loved teasing everyone. During Bakkien days she gathered her brothers and her aunt and took first in the tug of war. They took a picture and she was beaming with pride standing by her big bros. We will see her again someday. Until then, thank you everyone for being a part of Celysces journey throughout her walk of life. She will be remembered forever. She was greeted on the other side by her great-grandparents, Marie Snow-Young Bear and Curtis Young Bear and great-grandmother Sadie Mann; also, Mae Shortman-Stiffarm and Paul Stiffarm; grandpa, Butch Starr; her favorite uncle, Blue Sky Starr; and her cousin, Ashlon Stiffarm.
