Summary: Eric Griffin, 37, of Carrington, ND, passed away on July 8, 2025. A funeral service was held July 15, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington. Eric was born at Camp Pendleton in California and grew up in Lexington, TN. He brought strength, love, and loyalty into every life he touched. He was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a steady presence to those who knew him. Eric had a smile that brightened every room and a laugh you could hear from miles away. He met the love of his life, Karlee, in 2016 in Minot, ND, while working for Aaseth Farms in Velva. They were married on August 21, 2021, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. Eric’s greatest joy came from being a father. He was endlessly proud of his daughter, Brooklyn (born August 3, 2018), and his son, Memphis (born February 17, 2024), who were the light of his life. He loved camping, riding horses, and cheering at dirt track races; he was always happiest when surrounded by family, friends, and the outdoors. Eric was the kind of person who was always willing to help anyone, no matter the need. He would answer anyone’s call at any time, ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or simply show up when it mattered most. Eric was deeply dedicated to Karlee and always made sure she was cared for and supported. Whether it was cheering her on in her career, jumping into her crazy camper renovation projects, or helping organize the community Easter egg hunt, he was always by her side, steadfast and proud. He is survived by his wife, Karlee; their children, Brooklyn and Memphis; his mother, Theresa; his siblings, Pamela (Chris), Nathan (Shayna), and Grant; many nieces and nephews who adored him; his aunts and uncles; countless friends whose lives he touched; and by Karlee’s family, who loved him like their own. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary.
