Summary: Marjorie Jean (Satterlund) Clark of Williston, ND, went to her eternal home on May 16, 2025, at the age of 92, at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Williston. Her funeral service was held May 29, 2025, at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Williston. She was laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery, Williston. Marjorie was born at her country home in Carpio, ND, on October 21, 1932, to Victor and Clara (Olson) Satterlund. She was raised and educated in rural Carpio, where she attended country school and graduated from Dakota Lutheran High School in Minot, ND, in 1950. She attended Minot State Teachers College from 1952-1954 receiving her teaching certificate. She then taught for the next two years at South Callahan, Grano, and Velva schools. Marjorie met the love of her life, Roy Clark, whom she had known since early elementary school. Marjorie and Roy were united in marriage on December 23, 1955, in Minot, ND. They were blessed with six children. In 1967, they moved to Williston, where they continued to raise their family. Marjorie’s compassion and caring ways led her to opening an in-home daycare for many years. She was the “CEO” of the Clark household and took pride in being a dedicated homemaker. Grandma Marge had a way of making each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren feel special, whether it was through baking, playing board games, or reading books. Some of the family favorites were playing Scrabble, Racko, and Yahtzee. Sports were a huge part of her family’s life, and you could find Marjorie present at many of their sporting events and activities. Her interest in sports continued throughout her entire life. The phrase “Track it Down Marge” will continue to be uttered by Jack Michaels (Todd) every time a Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks player hits a homerun! She was ever present in her grandchildren’s lives. She provided a sense of solace, support, and oftentimes, laughter. She always took the time to listen and knew exactly what to say to make you feel better. Her wit and sense of humor could match anyone’s. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Marjorie is survived by her five children, Vicki (Bruce) Loyland, of Thompson, ND, Randy (Letty) Clark, of San Antonio, TX, Debbie (Dean) DeMoe, of Tioga, ND, Shelly Lynch, of Williston, ND, Todd Clark of Fargo, ND; fourteen grandchildren, Brandon (Abby) Weltikol, Tara (Zac) Peterson, Tyler DeMoe, Brandi Clark, Collin Lynch, Randy Roy Clark, Jaden Lynch, McKenna (Rhett) Wolter, Johanna (Connor) Moore, Samantha Clark, Cameron Clark, Trey Lynch, Preston Clark, Parker Clark; great-grandchildren, Dallas Weltikol, Kyree Clark, Wyatt, Ada, Oakley and Archie Peterson, Chesney and Kiplee Wolter, and great-grandson, Moore, due in June; sister, Delores Scanlon; sister-in-law, Janet Clark; brother-in-law, Harold (Carol) Clark; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clark; parents; siblings, Edwin, Eunice, Donald, Evelyn, and Marvin. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Rodney James.
