Summary: Gloria Hazel Marcy, 91, of Williston, ND, passed away March 21, 2025, at the Bethel Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center in Williston. Her memorial service was held June 21, 2025, at the Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel in Williston. She was laid to rest at the Riverview Cemetery in Williston. Gloria Ulledal was born on November 21, 1933, to Even and Nettie Ulledal in Divide County. She was raised on the family farm, attended country school, and then graduated with the Class of 1951 from Alamo High School. She married Loyal Marcy in 1952. After living in Crosby, ND, for a few months, they moved to Williston to make this their home. She worked for many years, always enjoying what she did. She worked for Wiser Loan, American State Bank, Mercy Hospital and the job she retired from, the garden center at Walmart. She liked her flowers, visiting with the customers and she also enjoyed sewing. She made many Easter and Christmas dresses for her daughters and grandchildren and sewed shirts for the boys. On vacations all five of her kids had to look alike. Loyal and Gloria’s five children and grandchildren include, Valerie (Jerry) Opsal and their daughter, Jody (Bob) DeChandt; Paulette (Steven) Oster and their children, Benjamin (Brittany) Oster and Olivia (Dustin Njos) Oster; Steven (Sherry) Marcy and their daughters, Harmony (Jerin) Koshy, Amber (Brad) Nichols, Jamie (Brett) Kanzulak; Michele (Patrick) Weber and their daughter, Margaret Weber (Aaron) Thomas; Michael (Kristi) Marcy and their children, Edward Marcy, Sadie (Anthony) Hrab, Brandon Hamer. Great-grandchildren include Mark and Jacob DeChandt; Alexius Marcy, Oliver and Kade Koshy; Nathan, Lauren, Eden and Nolan Nichols; Blake and Leah Kanzulak; Madelyn Weber; Ezra Marcy; Parker Marcy-Hrab, Morgan Hrab. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal; great-grandson, Thomas DeChandt; parents, Even and Nettie Ulledal; her brother, Joe Ulledal; six sisters, Eleanore Amundson, Ina Swenson, Fern Bleken, Verna Hallgren, Helen Anseth, Mavis Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
