Summary: Ora Mae Fredericksen, 92, of Williston, ND ,passed away at the Tioga Medical Center Long Term Care in Tioga, ND, on July 9, 2025. A memorial service was held July 17, 2025, at the Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel in Williston. Inurnment was at the Hillside Memory Gardens Cemetery in Williston. Ora Erickson was born on May 18, 1933, in Williston, the daughter of Jerome Howard and Helen Marie (Bingeman) Erickson. She was raised and educated in the Epping/Springbrook area, graduating from Epping High School. She worked for Western Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator after high school. On October 6, 1956, she married Kenneth Marvin Fredericksen in Williston. Ora traveled the world following Ken, as he was working in the oil industry. His career led her to many countries and continents, retiring after 40 years to the Epping area. It was there they bought a hobby farm. Ora loved to be outside working with her flowers, gardening, mowing grass, and taking care of the trees. After 17 years they sold the farm and moved to Riverdale, ND, where they lived for two years before moving back to Williston in 2017. Ora is survived two sisters-in-law, Betty Christopherson and Jeannie Meek; nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ken; brothers, Winton and Eldon; and brother-in-law, Donald Christopherson.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
