Summary: Ryan Stanley, 39, of Dickinson, ND, passed away August 31, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him deeply. A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held at a later date. Ryan was born on November 25, 1985, in Dickinson, the son of Arthur and Rita (Tysver) Stanley. He grew up in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson High School in 2004. After high school, Ryan pursued college before eventually moving to Utah and Nevada, where he worked in both car sales and construction. During his time living in the Utah/Nevada area, Ryan got married and was blessed with his beloved son, Nolan Ryan Stanley. While working in North Dakota, he would travel back and forth to spend time with his wife and son. After his divorce, Ryan returned to Dickinson permanently, where he continued his career in the oilfield industry—most recently finding enjoyment working at Method Flow Company. In 2013, Ryan met Alisha, and the two became inseparable. Together, they built a loving and blended family, sharing a life filled with laughter, mutual support, and dedication to their children. Ryan had a natural talent for anything involving sports and competition. Whether it was pool, softball, golf, bowling, corn hole, cards, or poker, he brought passion and skill to every game. He was also an avid fan of dirt track racing and rarely missed an opportunity to watch. Known for his generous spirit, Ryan was always the first to offer a helping hand. A highly skilled mechanic, he took pride in fixing things and helping people whenever he could. He especially loved following his kids’ sporting events and was immensely proud of all their accomplishments. Ryan had a gift for storytelling, and his tales often turned quick errands into memorable adventures. His presence, humor, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his father, Arthur Stanley, and stepmother, Rita (Rosemary) Stanley. He leaves behind his beloved fiancé, Alisha, and their cherished sons, Haden, Braden, Nolan, and daughter, Mikala. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Ladwig; brothers, Roger (Natalia) Stanley and Robert (Lori) Stanley; nephews, AJ Stanley (Anna) and Aiden; and Jade (Jenna) Holden. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; birth mother, Rita (Tysver) Stanley.
