Summary: Loretta Wyckoff, 87, Beach, ND, passed away January 12, 2021, at CHI St. Alexius in Dickinson, ND. Private services were held at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor Warren Maxted officiating. Burial was at the North Dakotaa Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND. Loretta Wymore was born May 13, 1933, to Leroy and Orphana Jane (Johnston) Wymore. She was raised north of Wibaux in the Been area where she attended the Been school and graduated from Wibaux County High School in 1952. She met Kenneth Wyckoff in Wibaux and the two were married March 6, 1953. They had three children: Marlys, Alvin, and Mary. Loretta and Kenneth moved to Medora, ND, where they raised their family. In Medora Kenneth worked for the National Park Service and they owned and operated the Exxon station. In 1983 they moved to Beach. After Kenneth passed in 1995, Loretta remained active in the Beach community until she moved into the Golden Valley Manor in August of 2014. She was active with the Senior Citizen Center, Golden Valley Manor, and the Beach Evangelical Church. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Loretta is survived by her children, Marlys (Tom) Updike, Alvin (Tracy) Wyckoff, and Mary (Leroy) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Ruby Miller, Phyllis Wyckoff, Marcy Krug; brother-in-law, Ray Wirtzfeld; grandchildren, Brian Updike, Eric (Jamie) Updike, Mandy (Jeremy) Miesaloski, Shera (Jason) Jones, Sheldon (Jasmine) Wyckoff, Melanie (Dan) Schmidt; and her great-grandchildren. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; brother, Earl Wymore; sisters, Betty Germann and Margie Wirtzfeld; grandchildren, Michael Wyckoff, Robbie Updike, Shawn Johnson.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
