Summary: Linda Lou Selby, 77, passed away January 27, 2021, at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND. A funeral service was held February 2, 2021, at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Williston, ND. Pastor David Maxfield officiated with interment at Riverview Cemetery in Williston. Linda Haug was born November 16, 1943, the seventh of eight children to Martin and Clara (Nelson) Haug in Williston. She attended Williston High School class of 1962. She married Jerry Selby February 11, 1972, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alamo, ND, and would have celebrated their 49th Anniversary on February 11, 2021. Upon marriage, they moved to the farm in the Buford area, while Linda continued to work at the State Highway Department until 1974. In 1999 Linda and Jerry moved into Williston and still continued to farm until retirement. Linda was president of the local Sons of Norway lodge, taught Sunday School at Our Redeemers, involved in WELCA, worship committee, and the funeral committee at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, was nominated by Gloria Dei as Mother of the Year with a celebration honoring them at Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston. Linda enjoyed gardening, crafts, drawing, painting, riding 4-wheeler, and time spent camping in the Yellowstone area. Most importantly, she was “Nany” to all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even some of their friends. Linda will be remembered by family for her heart of gold, passion for family, love of chocolate malts and caramel rolls and her fascination with NASCAR racing, especially Jeff Gordon. Linda and Jerry were able to attend NASCAR races at Phoenix Speedway and even purchased the Pit Pass. This was an item Linda could check off her bucket list. Linda leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Jerry; son, Michael (Shelly), Woodbury, MN; favorite son-in-law, Alan Clark, Williston; brother, Marty (Arlis) Haug, Williston; sister, Darlene Sattler, San Tan Valley, AZ; sisters-in-law, Virginia Haug, Alice Schott, JeAnne Selby and Diane Lang; brother-in-law, Tom (Nancy) Selby; grandchildren, Matthew (Raycee Davidson) and Kim Clark (Stormy Day), Williston, and Andy Selby, Woodbury; her beloved dog, Mr. Moe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Linda in death were her parents; brothers, Bernard “Bud” Haug, Orvin Haug, LeRoy Haug; sisters, Delores Sampson, Shirley Ann Hoburka; daughter, Julie Clark; granddaughter, Amy Clark; parents0-in-law, Homer and Alice Selby; brothers-in-law, Dennis Sampson, Leonard Hoburka, Jim Cotes, Bill Schott, Jim Selby, Hal Lang, Norman Sattler; sister-in-law, Fran Haug.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
