Summary: Donald Carr, 92, of Carrington, ND, died November 21, 2025, at his home. His funeral service was held November 24, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington. Burial was at the Carrington Cemetery. James Donald Carr was born January 16, 1933, the son of Joe and Lucy (Wagner) Carr. He was raised and attended school at Bordulac, ND. Don drove truck for several years for Teddy Clark and Red Hambrick, before returning to the farm. Don was united in marriage to Lydia Kautzman in Carrington, ND, where they made their home. He is survived by his wife, Lydia of Carrington; his son, James of Carrington; a granddaughter, Gabby Volk of Bordulac; one sister, Judy (Dick) Ziemba of Fargo, ND; brothers and sisters-in-law, Virgil Barthel of Bordulac, Paul (Jennie) Kautzman of West Fargo, ND, John (Gladys) Kautzman of West Fargo, ND, Arlene (Bill) Arterberry of Shasta Lake, CA, Ann Marie Myers of Eagle Point, OR, Robert (Val) Kautzman of Williams, AZ, Wes (Frances) Kautzman of Carson City, NV, and Connie Brown of Carrington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Maurice and Bill Carr; one sister, Mary Ann Barthel, one infant sister, Jean; a brother-in-law, James Kautzman, and a sister-in-law, Marcella Garrett.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
