Summary: Heaven gained a beautiful angel on December 1, 2025, when Paul passed peacefully after a short illness. Throughout his stay in the hospital, he always had family by his side so he would never be alone. Paul’s memorial service was held December 9, 2025, at the Wilmington Lutheran Church in Arnegard, ND, with Garrett Gudmunsen officiating. Inurnment was at the Wilmington Cemetery in Arnegard. Paul Allen Larson was born April 16, 1961, in Watford City, ND, to Armor and Bettie (Hinman) Larson. He was a very happy baby and everyone instantly loved him. He loved to wander around the neighborhood and visited anyone who would welcome him. When it was time for him to come home they could always tell where he was by his faithful beagle, Tippy, who would be waiting for him. When Paul reached school age he resided at the Grafton State School. He returned home August 15, 1985, and became a part of the Opportunity Foundation in Williston, ND. Paul was fortunate enough to buy his own house. He lived there until 2020 when he entered the 21st Ave group home. He had great friends and staff there. Prior to his death he had moved to the group home on 5th Ave as he needed more one-on-one attention. We would like to thank the staff (past and present) at OFI and the group homes for the amazing care he received throughout his life. We would also like to thank Nadine Johnson who became like family to all of us but her favorite by far was Paul. She could get him to do almost anything. Bless you Nadine. Paul worked for Pizza Hut, Arby's, the Williston Recycling Center, and OSOM car wash. He met so many wonderful people through all his jobs. Once you met Paul he never forgot you and sometimes it took an hour to get out of Walmart he saw so many people he knew. Paul is survived by his sister, Margaret Hernandez; brothers, Albert (Jeanne) Larson, Harold (Bekki) Larson, and James (Alana) Larson; 9 nieces, 7 nephews, 8 great nieces, 15 great-nephews, 2 GG nephews, 4 GG nieces, and several extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jerry and Harry; brother-in-law, Frank; sister-in-law, Linda; and nephew, Jeff.
