Summary: Lee Alan Prochnow, 57, Williston, ND, passed away March 16, 2021, at Trinity Health in Minot, ND. A funeral service for Lee was held March 23, 2021, at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Williston, with Pastor David Behm officiating. Burial was at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Hankinson, ND. Lee was born November 21, 1963, to Arnold and Frieda (Reister) Prochnow in Jamestown, ND. He was baptized into Christ on January 22, 1964, at home and confirmed his Christian faith April 29, 1979, at St. John Lutheran Church in Britton, SD. Lee attended various schools due to his father’s job. Lee graduated from Sidney High School in 1983 in Sidney, MT. He later worked at a variety of jobs in Sidney, and Miles City, MT, and settled in Williston where he worked for Lindsey Implement and the Opportunity Foundation, as a janitor. Lee was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Williston and a member of the Williston Moose Lodge. Lee had many hobbies. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the NDSU Bison. You could often find Lee reading the local newspaper or watching the news. Lee was very active in his faith and enjoyed partaking in Bible study. The members of Concordia Lutheran Church were like a family to him and he was like a son to them.  Surviving are his sisters, Loraine Farnsworth, Jamestown, ND, and Darcie (Steve) Rolla, Watford City, ND; nieces, Sara (Josh) Simonton, Simi Valley, CA, Ashley Farnsworth, Rolla, ND, Kathryn (Ben) Galivan, Hampton, VA, Amanda Prochnow, Gloucester, VA, Shania Rolla and Shayla Rolla, both of Watford City; and nephew, Evan Farnsworth, McHenry, ND; great niece, Kwynne Simonton, Simi Valley; great nephew, Royce, Rowan and Jeremiah Simonton, Simi Valley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Frieda Prochnow; brother, Douglas Prochnow; paternal grandparents, Oscar and Inga Prochnow; and maternal grandparents, Fred and Ann Reister.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
