Summary: Sharon Anderson, 88, passed away on February 5, 2026, at CHI St. Alexius in Williston, ND, with family by her side. A private family service was held February 18, 2026, at Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel in Watford City, ND. Sharon was laid to rest at the Silent City Cemetery in Keene, ND. Sharon was born in Bismarck, ND, to William and Agnes Zimmiond on March 15, 1937, along with her twin sister, her best friend through life. Sharon had one daughter, Marie, from her first marriage. She married Curtis Anderson on July 6, 1972, the love of her life. They made their home on his family farm in Keene. After his retirement in 1995 from Amoco Pipeline, they began their daily trips to Williston to see her sister, Shirley. More often than not, they continued on to Sidney to visit their good friend, Pat. She would drop whatever she was doing to meet them for a game of darts and a drink, then back on the road towards home. After years of this routine, we got them convinced that closer to Williston might be a better idea, so they moved to a nice farmstead about ten minutes from town. Baby Steps! After six years of living there they moved to Briarwood for Seniors which they loved! This started another fun outing for them after driving was no longer an option. Sister Pearl picked sister Shirley up then on to their house at 1:00 pm daily for coffee at Dakota Farms where Pearl baked goodies which they enjoyed! Sadly, Pearl and Shirley passed away which was heartbreaking for her. Luckily, her sister Karen moved back to Williston and the treats continued and also the love of her sister. She so enjoyed visits from family even just a short one made their day! As they became less independent, Marie’s daughter Summer and lifelong friend Kimee made it possible for them to remain in their home, for which we will forever be grateful. Sharon will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She is survived by daughter, Marie (Leland) Heller of Keene; granddaughter, Summer (Jesse) Binde of Williston; great-granddaughters, Payton Heller and McKayla Binde of Williston, ND; sister, Karen (Jake) Lambert of Williston, ND; brothers, Delmer (Marcy) Rink of Huntley, MT, and Leslie (Sandra) Rink of Keene, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anges Stompro (Zimmiond); stepfathers, Melvin Rink and Duane Stompro; brothers, Ernie Zimmiond, James Rink, and Richie Rink; sisters, Pearl Haney, Shirley, and baby Joanne Rink.
