Summary: Norma Myers, 100, of Medora, ND, passed away January 30, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at her home. Funeral services were held February 6, 2026, at the Old Town Hall in Medora. Norma was the firstborn child of Page Lockwood and Lodema Catherine (Runions) Myers. She was born on December 25, 1925, at Beach, ND. She attended all twelve years of grade and high school at DeMores School at Medora and graduated June 6, 1943. Two weeks later she was sworn in at the Department of Justice, Washington, D.C. where she was a fingerprint classifier. In 1946 she graduated from McDowell School of Design, New York City. On August 22, 1947, she married William P. Cornell at Wibaux, MT. She married Glenn G. Law at Lapwai, ID, on June 30, 1951. To this marriage her only child, Steven Page Law, was born on May 15, 1952. This marriage ended in divorce and on January 15, 1953 she was married to Warren W. Chernasek of Dickinson, ND, at Medora. They lived in Germany, at Bad Nauheim for the next two years. After Dr. Chernasek's discharge from the US Army, they lived in Whitefish, MT, until August of 1959, when they moved to Glasgow, MT. In 1986 Norma moved to Medora and opened Chateau Nuts. Norma's interests included bible study, genealogy searches, garden club, politics, school and family reunions. She is survived by her son, Steven P. Law; five grandchildren, Clinton Law, Carrie Jo (Christopher) Marman, Christina (Darrin) Snyder, Stuart Law and Sarah (Clint) Kipf; two great-grandchildren, Owen and Seeley; sister-in-law, Diane Myers; several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren (Darlene),Rodney, and Roger (Peggy); and sister, Ramona (Richard) Zauner.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
