Summary: Kyle Neil Christofferson passed away April 22, 2026. A memorial service was held April 29, 2026, at the First Lutheran Church in Tioga, ND. Inurnment will be in the United Cemetery in Tioga. Kyle was welcomed into this world on the opening day of deer season by his parents, Colin and Susan, and his big sisters, Alysa and Jenna. Mom and Dad suggested ‘Hunter’ for a name but his big sisters wanted the name ‘Kyle’ (after the 2nd cutest boy in Alysa’s class). A short while later his “J-Bird” sidekick Juli arrived. He was baptized and raised in the Lutheran faith and was educated in the Tioga school system. The day Kyle was born, Colin had his built-in best friend and fishing/hunting buddy. They loved everything they did together from snowmobiling, hunting and fishing from here to Canada. Kyle had such a love for hunting and fishing that once at a job interview when asked what he wanted to achieve in life he said “to be the best hunter and fisherman.” Kyle was just what his mom needed in a house full of girls. He loved unconditionally and fully. He didn’t just give hugs, they were embraces that were felt heart to heart. “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.” Kyle was always a part of his older sisters' lives as a typical little brother, always chasing them and their friends around. He was the kindest most patient big brother and hunting buddy for his little sister Juli. Always letting her have the first shot, sometimes three, but was always ready in case she missed. His cousins were more than just cousins to him, as well as his neighbor Colt Determan who was a huge part of his life, becoming the brothers he never had. They shared many adventures and were a huge part of his life and a much needed break from a house full of girls. Kyle was the best uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. From playing with them and teasing them to buying them the loudest fun-est toys. They all looked up to him, and not because he was so tall but because he showed so much kindness and patience to them all. In life he never meet a stranger that stayed a stranger for long. He had a natural ability to make everyone feel loved. He was always up for an adventure and a good time and welcomed anyone and everyone to join along.The last few months he was blessed to have Vern who brought light into his world. He enjoyed helping friends with Derby cars and Enduro cars and was the self-proclaimed “Goated Pitman.” Kyle worked various jobs in the oilfield. With his first check he made he spent it immediately at the snap-on tool truck, but he did not mind as he saw it as an investment. His most recent job was with Legacy Services, LLC. He was so fond of his boss and coworkers. No matter what he was going through personally, he always approached everyone with the biggest, brightest smile and the warmest bear hugs. Always making sure that they were good. Kyle was always so kind and selfless and will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to know him, and to know him was to love him. Kyle is survived by his mom and dad, Colin and Susan; sisters, Alysa (Mike) Addicott, Jenna (Justin) Thompson, Juli (Colton) Parham; nieces, Rylie and River Thompson, Baby Girl Parham; nephews, Porter, Colson and Jett Addicott, Rowan Thompson, Maverick Parham; grandmother, Iona “Tookie” Christofferson; grandfather, Dwight MacMonagle; aunts and uncles, Candice (Bob) Wenger; Karen Brown, Amy (Jason) Folvag; Heidi (Garret) Holmen and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Neil Christofferson; grandmother, Ruth (Grandma Goose) MacMonagle; uncles, Bernell Christofferson and Douglas MacMonagle; and aunt, June Biwer. As Kyle would say “Love Ya.”

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
