Summary: Julie C. Fedorenko, 67, entered her heavenly home on March 28, 2026, at a hospice hospital in Scottsdale, AZ, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Memorial services were held July 25, 2026, at the First Lutheran Church in Watford City, ND, with Minister Matthew Rolfson officiating. She was laid to rest at Schafer Cemetery in Watford City, ND, on July 24, 2026. Julie C. Fedorenko was born in Williston, ND, on a cold February 8th morning in 1959 to Eugene and Elaine Fedorenko. She went home to Keene, ND, where her sister, Teri, was waiting. Her brother, Jim, joined the family three years later. Julie attended first grade at Blue Butte School in Keene, ND. She then attended school in Watford City until 1975. The family moved to Dickinson, where she graduated from Dickinson High School in 1977. During school, Julie was active in cheerleading, band, and choir. During her senior year, she was a homecoming attendant. Julie attended North Dakota State University, where she studied design and music. A highlight of her life was singing in the NDSU choir. She returned to Dickinson State University to complete her BA, graduating in 1982. She received her master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Minnesota State University at Moorhead in 1992. Following graduation, Julie worked as a manager at the Ronald McDonald House in Fargo. She was an admissions counselor at Mayville State College and later worked in the placement office at Concordia College in Minnesota. Before leaving Fargo in 1997 for sunnier weather in Arizona, she worked as a counselor at Valley Christian Counseling Center in Fargo, ND. While living in Arizona, Julie worked in counseling. From 2003 to 2012, she became an executive liaison for Fulton Homes. This job brought her wonderful opportunities. She experienced great delight in meeting Julie Andrews, one of her lifetime idols! Traveling with her employers took her to Hawaii, Utah, and California. She later became involved in several business ventures. Julie loved to travel and took many opportunities to do just that. She enjoyed many cruises with family and friends, including a world cruise. Her love of music took her to New York City multiple times to see the Broadway shows. Using her beautiful singing voice, she sang in many choirs over the years, including the Fargo-Moorhead Master’s Chorale, the Desert Sonoran Chorale, and, most recently, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church choir. Singing the Star-Spangled Banner for a Diamondbacks game was another highlight for Julie. Julie was multi-talented and was often referred to as a Renaissance woman by her friends. She could do almost anything from professional home decorating at Christmas to electrical work and home repair. She had a great love for people, horses, and dogs. Missing her on earth are her mother, Elaine; sister, Teri (Tim) Taylor; brother, Jim Fedorenko; Lori’s children, Nicole (Ryan) Brathwaite, Shane, and Luke McLaren; nieces, Lisa (Brian) Felty, and their children, Carter and Maison, Sarah (Sean) Hesler; Aunt Charlene Olson; extended family Bob and Kathy Olson; and several cousins. She was welcomed into heaven by her beloved dad, Gene; sister-in-law, Lori; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
