Summary: Lois Chaske, 74, passed away on July 1, 2026, at St. Michael, ND. A funeral service was held July 8, 2026, at St. Michael Tek. Center, St. Michael. Burial was at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Lois Jean (Bull Bear) Chaske was born on September 15, 1951, in Devils Lake, ND. Her mother was Florence Jackson. She married Louis Chaske. Lois was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and collecting knick-knacks. Lois loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, planting flowers, and puzzles. She liked listening to her favorite singer, Alan Jackson. She also liked to visit friends and family, including Jada, Keith, Jar, and their children. Lois enjoyed her home life. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Walking Eagle; granddaughter, Rashane Walking Eagle; Randy Walking Eagle, Jada Longie, Keith Longie, Gerald Longie, Inez Chaske and family and many friends and relatives. Lois was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Jackson; husband, Louis Chaske; son, Kevin Walking Eagle; brother, Gerald Longie Sr.; Mary and Frank Lovejoy, Jamie Lovejoy, Hunter Lovejoy, Luanna Chaske, and Timothy Chaske.

Summary: The North Dakota Heritage Family Memorial Program is sponsored by the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association. The life stories of deceased North Dakotans are featured in an archvied collection. Current partners in the project are Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Services, Bismarck Evans Funeral Homes, Carrington and New Rockford Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home, Williston Fulkerson Funeral Home, Tioga Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home, Williston Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck Springan Stevenson Funeral Home, Stanley Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson These funeral homes provide recent obituaries to the Foundation, where staff and volunteers format, edit and archive each memorial. The memorials are posted, and copies are sent to the family for their input and approval. The listing currently features more than 13,000 memorials, and is constantly updated as new memorials and histories are received.
