Title: William P. Moffet Papers
Date: 1808-1948
Summary: Correspondence, newspaper clippings, prison records, books, notes, a muster roll, photographs and negatives, relating to Moffet’s military service while stationed in Manila, Philippines. Captain Moffet was the officer Commanding of Prison Department in the Philippines; many of the records pertain to political prisoners in the Bilibib Prison (Carcel y Presidio) in Manila, Philippines. The bulk of the photographs are from Moffet's experience in the Philippines serving with Company A, First North Dakota Infantry. Captain, Company A, First Infantry, North Dakota National Guard.
