Title: Oscar Zero Missile Launch Control Center Records

Summary: The records consist of manuals, a technical order (TO) manual, Missile Alert Kitchen menu, news clipping, print of the poem "Missileer" by Captain Robert A. Wyckoff, and photographs. The manuals were left in the Oscar Zero facility when it was closed in 1997. Most of the materials are in three ring binders and came from the Facilities Manager's room and the Security room. Information in the manuals ranges from operation of the facility to owner's manual for kitchen appliances. The Final Design Analysis of the Missile Site Control Building at the Safeguard Facilities in Grand Forks (ND) (1970), System Master Plan: Integrated Logistic Support Plan, Maintenance Support Plan Supplement Part No. 3.15.A (1970) and Ballistic Missile Defense System Facilities and Equipment Configuration Diagrams (1973), MS Central Monitoring System Control Room Procedure manual (1974), Safeguard a report from the April 1989 survey of the condition of facilities of the Stanley R. Mickelson Safeguard Complex (Langdon, ND), and the Final Report on the Dismantlement of Facilities at the Stanley R. Mickelson Safeguard Complex (1989). Finally, the collection includes photographic prints taken by the Boeing Company of construction at missile sites similar to the Missile Alert Facility Oscar-0 and Launch Facility N-33.
