Title: North Dakota Newspaper Association Oral Histories Collection
Date: 2014-2024
Summary: Consists of oral histories for the Inside Stories Oral Histories of North Dakota Journalists Project, along with transcripts, photographs, and other background materials. These interviews were conducted by Teri Finneman and sponsored by the North Dakota Newspaper Association. For each of the interviews, there is a transcript, a DVD copy, and an audio copy. The collection contains a highlight file of the interviews and newspaper clippings on the project. Also included are interviews, documents and photos from the 2024 "Revenue and Readership: Reviving Rural News" project. Researcher Teri Finneman worked with the Foster County Independent in Carrington to change its business model as part of a national experiment to help save local news.

The “DETAILS” button provides additional information about an item, as well as the following options:

- You can print the image and its corresponding details by selecting “Print".
- “Digitized Images from the Collection” returns a list of all digitized items within that collection (available from the “Collection Summary” screen).

The collections preserved in the North Dakota State Archives include over a million images. Only a small percentage of these images have been digitized. This photo gallery provides a preview of the images that have been digitized.
