Inscription/Marks: Jamestown Weekly Alert Aug. 1, 1901: A heavy wind prevailed at Tappen Sunday and as a result a church, a cheese factory, dwelling house, barn, and D. M. Schellig's store were demolished. No one was injured.
Summary: A crowd stands by a collapsed building, possible a church. Several ladies are holding books.Wooden chairs have been brought out onto the grass. Many shingles were ripped off of the roof.
